Does Zenshin Daiko teach adults? No, Zenshin Daiko only teaches children. Many adults have expressed an interest in learning taiko with ZD. However, because there are many children that want to join, ZD is focusing its limited resources on children.

Where does ZD learn about taiko? ZD has been fortunate to have taiko instructors from Hawaii, North America and Japan come to Maui and give workshops. Beginning in 2000, ZD has had workshops with Kenny Endo of the Taiko Center of the Pacific and the Kenny Endo Taiko Ensemble, Tiffany Tamaribuchi of Sacramento Taiko Dan and Tozai, Kiyonari Tosha of Nihon Taiko Dojo, San Jose Taiko, and Yoko Fujimoto of Kodo.

In addition to that ZD’s leaders and members have traveled to the Taiko Conferences, the Summer Taiko Institute (STI), and other taiko workshops.
