On Saturday, June 28, Zenshin Daiko held their 4th Annual Taiko Festival at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s Castle Theater.
This year’s guests were Mika Shin Buyoo Kai, a children’s classical Japanese dance group taught by Karen Wasano and Kona Daifukuji Taiko led by Reverend Ryuji Tamiya and his wife Noriko.
The three youth groups performed with their hearts and souls before a very spirited and enthusiastic audience. With a combined total of almost 70 performers, it was an experience that will become a cherished memory for all the performers and their families.
It was a chance to see old friends, make new friends and have a lot of fun. Zenshin Daiko would like to thank all the individuals and businesses that helped to make this concert a huge success. Zenshin Daiko would also like to thank the staff of the MACC and of course to our dedicated parents who work so hard throughout the year.
