Ko, Raeceen's brother, looks like he is having fun as he comes up with new rhythms.
Franco and Wisa of San Jose Taiko conduct a workshop for Zenshin Daiko. Franco & Wisa of SJT give a ZD workshop. Franco Imperial and Wisa Uemura of San Jose Taiko conducted a workshop for Zenshin Daiko members on January 3. Franco and Wisa are experienced instructors. Both of them teach classes in San Jose Taiko’s Junior Taiko program. Zenshin Daiko members were impressed with their energy and skillful playing techniques.
ZD Election Zenshin Daiko held its special Annual General Membership and Board Meeting on December 7, 2003. Among the items on the agenda were; Zenshin Daiko’s 5th and 6th Annual Taiko Festival, the grant from the State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, Val’s trip to Japan, upcoming workshops and the election of Board members. The General Membership elected Yvonne Jo, Brooks Tamaye and Bill Uemura to a three year term. Bree-Ann Tamaye was elected to a one year term as a student Board member. The Board then met and elected Jean Uemura - President, Gary Wasano - Vice President, Tony Jones - Secretary and Yvonne Jo - Treasurer.
